SimpleShow Video Maker 🎬: Seventh Session - March 7th, 2025

Hey fellow ed-tech enthusiasts! Last week, we had an incredibly engaging session that was anything but a boring lecture. Instead, we got to roll up our sleeves and test out a bunch of educational websites. Talk about a fun way to learn!





I decided to take a spin with SimpleShow Video Maker, and let me tell you, it was a ride! The tool is designed to create explainer videos using a transcript and a library of visuals. Intrigued? Keep reading!


My Experience: From Transcript to (Almost) Triumphant Video!


The process was pretty straightforward:


1. Write a Transcript: I started by crafting a clear and concise transcript for my explainer video.

2. Design the Video: Using the transcript, I dove into SimpleShow's interface to choose visuals and animations to bring my script to life.

But… a Little Glitch in the Matrix?!


Okay, so it wasn't all smooth sailing. I encountered a little hiccup along the way.


•  The Silent Treatment: I noticed that there was a 10-second gap in my video where the screen was blank, but the voice was still playing. Oops!


Overall, I found it very helpful and the support team was very quick to help.

    Hi, I haven't used SimpleShow before, but now I will try, your description of it was really motivating!!! Do you think that beyond using it as a teacher, this software would be suitable for student-lead presentations for assessments? Just wondering...🤔

      Dear Lili, thank you so much for this wonderful idea! Yes, why not? Teachers can assign their learners of making a video or presentation at the end of the course. However, this can be applicable to adults learners.

Today was an exciting session where we explored various online game websites designed for students, highlighting the unique advantages of each platform. 1. Voki        A fun tool that allows students to create speaking avatars , enhancing engagement and creativity in presentations. 2. Triptico (Paid)      Triptico offers a range of interactive tools that can be used for various educational activities, fostering collaboration and participation. 3. Goodbye Game: Adventures Outside the Classroom! (March 22, 2025) 🌸

Hey everyone! 👋 Remember that crazy-fun "SimpleShow Video Maker" post? Well, buckle up, because I have another story for you! This one's all about our Goodbye Game from our eighth session - a hilariously memorable experience to celebrate the end of Term 2 (Fri March 7th). Instead of the usual lecture, our awesome professor decided to shake things up and take us outside for a game! She divided us into groups and sent us on a scavenger hunt adventure , armed with instructions on Nearpod. Our destination: Rootes! But getting there was half the fun...
