Goodbye Game: Adventures Outside the Classroom! (March 22, 2025) πΈ
Hey everyone! π Remember that crazy-fun "SimpleShow Video Maker" post? Well, buckle up, because I have another story for you! This one's all about our Goodbye Game from our eighth session - a hilariously memorable experience to celebrate the end of Term 2 (Fri March 7th).
Instead of the usual lecture, our awesome professor decided to shake things up and take us outside for a game! She divided us into groups and sent us on a scavenger hunt adventure, armed with instructions on Nearpod. Our destination: Rootes! But getting there was half the fun...
Strange Requests and Social Anxiety!
Let me tell you, the requests on Nearpod were... interesting! π€£ We had to listen to a specific song, watch a random video, and THEN... head to the supermarket! The instructions for the supermarket were wild. We had to:
• Take a photo with a supermarket employee!
• Count the number of people working there!
• Take a photo of a tool they use for their job!
So, naturally, I took the initiative to ask the employee for a photo. Some of my friends jokingly said my social anxiety was crying in the corner. ππ
We ran into a few tech glitches, which meant repeated photo requests. I was seriously worried the supermarket staff would think we were completely bonkers! π€ͺ
Unexpected Kindness and a Valuable Lesson!
But then something amazing happened. One of the supermarket employees, seeing our slightly frantic photo-taking, said something that really resonated with me: "Don't you ever be embarrassed of doing something for your study!" π₯Ή
That simple statement was so encouraging and empowering! It was a reminder that learning can be fun and sometimes requires you to step outside your comfort zone. Plus, you never know when you'll encounter kindness and understanding along the way.
Back for an Epic Party! π
After conquering the supermarket challenge, we all headed back to the classroom... transformed into a party zone! π₯³ It was absolutely hilarious, filled with laughter, good vibes, and amazing food. Our professor had outdone herself, preparing some incredible dishes. And our classmates chipped in too, bringing their own delicious creations to share! It was the perfect way to celebrate the end of the term.
Saying Goodbye (For Now!)
As I wrap up this post, I realize this is a little bittersweet. It's the last entry for this topic for a while. It's been really nice to have this little window in the world to share my stories and connect with all of you. Thank you for reading and sharing your experiences!
Who knows what adventures await? But for now, it's goodbye from me – Blooming FlowerπΈ – until our next activity!
Now it's your turn! Tell me...
• What's the craziest or most unexpected activity you've ever done for a class?
• What's your favourite dish to bring to a potluck party? (Since we're talking about food now! π)
Share your stories in the comments below! Let's keep the conversation going! π

ReplyDeleteThank you so much! I wish you a Happy Easter π☺️
DeleteOMG, I love these questions! π
ReplyDeleteCraziest class activity?
Hands down, dressing up as Jerry the Mouse—imagine a 173 cm tall mouse dancing and handing out candy! ππ€£
P.S. If you ever need a tall Jerry for a party… I’m available! π
Hhhhhhhh that's way better πππ Okay, I'll let you know π
DeleteFavorite potluck dish?
ReplyDeleteHands down, my creamy mac & cheese! π§π✨ It always disappears in minutes… and yes, there’s a secret ingredient (hint: an ungodly amount of cheese!).
No wonder you dressed up like Jerry π§π
DeleteFirst, thank you for sharing such a delightful and inspiring story! You have a natural talent for storytelling!
ReplyDeleteSecond, to answer you first question: I once did some voice-acting as an old man (I'm a girlπ). It was completely improvised, and even I was shocked by it, not to mention my professor and colleagues (this happened during my Master's degree!).
That's interesting π€£π€£ I like changing my voice as wellπ π
DeleteAs for my favorite potluck dish, I always bring desserts. Maybe chocolate cake, cheesecake, lazy cake—basically, any kind of cake! π π
ReplyDeleteEverybody likes chocolate ππ
