Exploring ICT in TESOL: First Session - 17th Jan 2025
I am confident in my choice of this module, as I am keen on developing games in education to make the learning process easier and more enjoyable for my learners.
Last Friday, we kicked off the ICT in TESOL module (Information and Communication Technology). Our professor discussed blogging and noted that, despite its effectiveness, many people have moved away from it. She elaborated on the benefits of blogging.
To my surprise, I discovered that blogging is not as difficult as I initially thought; in fact, it consists of super easy steps! I’m enthusiastic about learning more about incorporating games and technology into teaching.
I took this photo of the classroom, where all the tables were full of laptops and eager learners who chose this module.
Are you as excited as I am about these possibilities, fellow teachers?

DeleteHi.. So excited to learn more about using the technology in education
ReplyDeleteHello! I'm glad. Stay tuned.
DeleteI really need such kind of information so I am eager to hear more.
ReplyDeleteWonderful! Keep following. π
DeleteHi Nermen, You have quickly understood that blogging is informal and personal! Your first post is chatty and informative about the module, a bit like a diary. That is what many people used to use their blogs for. I was expecting to see your review of the blogger that you investigated in class, but never mind. The main thing is that you have got started and showed your own opinion in your own voice. You already seem to have a following with three comments - great! In your future posts make sure that each one looks in depth at one tool or technology, embedding content that you have made yourself as much as possible. I'm glad you're excited to be doing this module - I look forward to reading your future posts! Enjoy the blogging experience!
ReplyDeleteThank you for your insightful feedback on my first blog post! I was aiming for that diary-like feel. I'm really enjoying the module so far, and your encouragement means a lot. Thanks again for your guidance!
DeleteI am so excited for the new informations and technology
ReplyDeleteThanks alot
You're more than welcome π
DeleteNowadays people lack expressing their thoughts through writing as we used to do before.
ReplyDeleteIt was like a trend to write about everyday events and kind of a commitment for teenagers. It would develop to be a hobby of writing novels or short stories.
Now, people tend to use fewer words and more symbols.
I can't agree more.
DeleteIt's good for developing their writing skills and expressing their feelings as well.
I also think that blogging is a great resource! Looking forward to learning more about applying online teaching resources, because so far I have only been using Kahoot, and my students are getting a bit too familiar with it.π
ReplyDeleteInteresting! Kahoot is well-known all over the world.

ReplyDeleteI got really excited, just like you, to learn more about this module. The idea of integrating games and technology into education is wonderful, as it makes the learning process more enjoyable and effective—especially for young learners.
ReplyDeleteIt’s great that you found out blogging is easier than you expected! I think many of us hesitate at first, but once we get started and see how simple the steps are, we become even more enthusiastic.
Wishing you the best of luck on your journey with this unique module, and I’m looking forward to hearing more from you about the applications and ideas you’ll be exploring! π
ReplyDeleteThat’s wonderful! I think it’s great to integrate technology into the learning process. This will encourage students to pay more attention and become more interested in the lesson. I’m looking forward to new ideas π‘
